Costa Rica is comprised of 7 provinces: San Jose, Alajuela, Cartago, heredia, Guanacaste, Puntarenas and Limon. Costa Rica is becoming a very popular tourist attraction in recent times particularly for the allure of ecotourism. Costa Rica is a treasure trove of biodiversity housing 5% of the world's plant and animal species while taking up only 0.1% of the planet's landmass. The Corcovado National Park, Tortuguero National Park and Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve are all internationally renowned.
